All full Gold Sovereign coins were struck in 22 carat Gold during these years and weigh approx. 7.98 grams.

This coin comes in a plastic coin envelope.

Struck by the Royal Mint between 1839 and 1887 the Queen Victoria young head sovereign features a young uncrowned portrait of the Queen facing left with legend around and date below on the obverse. The reverse is completed with a crowned quartered shield of arms with legend around. Between the dates 1863 and 1874 a die number can be found under the shield.
