This one shilling banknote has no date but was issued in 1941 and 1942 , with Prefix / Serial Number 35925.

This is a high grade crisp banknote.

There is no writing, repairs, pin holes or tears on this shilling banknote.

This Jersey banknote is brown and blue underprint. With the Arms at top left and two men on the underprint on the obverse. The reverse is brown with Two men in centre chatting.

During the German Occupation, Jersey issued an emergency set of banknotes due to a shortage of British banknotes and coinage. Local artist Edmund Blampied was commissioned to design a series of notes that would be issued by the States of Jersey in denominations of sixpence, one, two and ten shillings, and one pound.
