The obverse features Queen Elizabeth II at the right, ‘£20’ at upper left and upper right corners, Britannia at left. Segmented vertical foil strip and purple optical device at left centre. Serial # olive-green to maroon at upper left. The reverse features Michael Faraday at right, lecture with students at left, magneto-electric spark apparatus at bottom left.
