This was the series C portrait ten shillings banknote issued on the 4th April 1963, with Prefix / Serial Number M22 490062. The M prefix indicates this is a replacement banknote.

The B296 Ten Shillings was issued by the Bank of England in 1963. The note is Brown on multicolour underprint. The obverse features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II at right, and a seated figure of Britannia at left. The reverse Britannia seated with shield, holding spear and olive branch, in circle at centre right.
