The 2019 Kew Gardens fifty pence coin is a commemorative reissue of the 2009 coin. The coin was issued to celebrates the 50th anniversary of the 50 pence and the 250th anniversary of the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew. It features a different effigy of Queen Elizabeth II than the original coin, as well as the 2019 mintage date.
The Obverse features the fifth crowned portrait of HM Queen Elizabeth II facing right. The Reverse depicts the Chinese Pagoda at Kew, which was built in 1761 and is entwined by a leafy climber.
This 2019 coin was released as a Brilliant Uncirculated commemorative issue and did not enter general circulation.
