This coin is in near mint condition, this coin has been photographed inside the capsule and has not been handled. There appears to be some light marks on the coin.
This coin comes inside a capsule with the original wooden box, outer card black box and mauve card sleeve. The item also includes the individually numbered certificate and booklet as issued by the Royal Mint.
The outer card box has the name ‘HARRY’ written in pen on the back. There is also light staining on the side of the box.
The 2018 half sovereign is a coin struck in 22 carat gold as a proof by the Royal Mint. The Obverse features the fifth crowned portrait of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, wearing the George IV State Diadem, with legend around. The Reverse features St. George slaying the dragon right, with date and designer’s initials in exergue.
Proof Half Sovereigns are hand-finished to create a flawless effect, and are often struck multiple times with specially prepared dies to achieve a mirrored finish and clarity of detail.
