This coin was struck in 22 carat Gold and weigh approx. 39.94 grams. The equivalent of 1.177 ounces of fine Gold.
The coin comes in the original wooden box and outer black card box. The certificate is also included with this royal mint issue.
This coin was issued to commemorate the diamond jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.
The obverse was the fourth definitive UK coin portrait by Rank-Broadley, a crowned portrait of HM Queen Elizabeth II facing right, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, legend around completing the design. On the reverse side of this coin there is a reworked, stylized image of St. George slaying the dragon. The coin’s date is to the left on the reverse.
This gold coin had an issue limit edition presentation of 1,250.
