The 2008 gold tenth ounce Britannia was minted by the Royal Mint. The obverse features the fourth crowned portrait of HM Queen Elizabeth II facing to the right. The Queen is wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, with legend around. The reverse features the standing figure of Britannia holding a trident with shield at her side, the folds of her dress transforming into a wave, legend above and below.
This proof gold coin had a limited edition presentation figure of 1,000.
