The 2008 gold quarter ounce Britannia was struck by the Royal Mint. The obverse features the fourth crowned portrait of Queen Elizabeth II facing right. She is wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, with legend around. The reverse features the standing figure of Britannia holding a trident with shield at her side, the folds of her dress transforming into a wave, legend above and below.
This proof gold coin had a product issue limit of 1,000.
