This 2002Â five pounds, five sovereigns or quintuple sovereign is a coin struck in 22 carat gold by the Royal Mint. The Obverse features the portrait of HM Queen Elizabeth II facing right. The reverse features the crowned Royal shield of arms within wreath, with date below. This one off design was issued to commemorate the 50th anniversary of accession of Queen Elizabeth II.
