1996 Coin & Banknote set, to mark ‘Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II 70th Birthday’, In Mint Condition.
The set contains a commemorative Silver Proof coin marking the 70th anniversary of the birth of Queen Elizabeth II.
This coin has an intrinsic value of £5. This proof coin was struck in 0.925 silver and weighs approx. 28.28 grams.The Obverse features the crowned portrait of Queen Elizabeth II facing right. The reverse features Windsor Castle with Royal Standard, the Union Flag, and the Queen’s personal flag. Two accompanying pennants bear the anniversary dates.
B369cs Ten Pound banknote was issued in 22nd November 1993, with prefix/serial number HM70 001026. The £10 Ten Pound Banknote shows the cypher HM70 and a serial number between 1 and 2000.The Bank of England have issued this cypher in honour of this very special occasion. HM70 will not be produced for general circulation and therefore, these are the only notes to have this cypher.
This coin and banknote set comes complete with a hard red box, capsule & certificate as issued by the Royal Mint.
This presentation set has a limited mintage of only 2,000.
