1992 – 1993 Fifty Pence ‘Europe Two Coin Commemorative Set’ in Near Mint Condition.
The coins come in a card presentation set as issued by the Royal Mint.
The coins both have Queen Elizabeth II on the Obverse.
One of the coins features a conference table seen from above, around which are arranged twelve chairs for the Council of Ministers. The United Kingdom is prominently represented at the head of the table with the table itself showing twelve stars, symbols of the European Community on the Reverse. This coin was the first British coin to feature two dates.
The second coin features a figure of Britannia seated beside a lion on the Reverse.
These coins were struck in cupro-nickel by the Royal Mint.
