This is the proof issue and is a high grade example with sharp detail.

There are extremely light contact marks on both sides of this coin.

This coin comes in a plastic coin envelope.

The 1951 penny was struck in bronze by the Royal Mint. The obverse side of the coin depicts the uncrowned portrait of King George VI facing left, with legend around.  The reverse side of the coin depicts Britannia seated to the right, and the date is inscribed in the exergue.
