1935 King George V Raised Edge Inscription Silver Crown Coin In Mint Condition.
This is a high grade coin with sharp details. There are extremely light surface marks on both sides. There is also writing on the outside of the original red box.
This is the raised edge inscription variety and comes in the original red box.
The 1935 Crown was struck in 0.500 silver and was issued to commemorate the silver Jubilee of King George V by the Royal Mint. The Obverse features the uncrowned portrait of King George V facing left, with legend around. The Reverse features an Art Deco rendering of St. George slaying the dragon, with the denomination and date above. This coin was also affectionately know as the ‘rocking horse’ crown.
