The 1913 gold twenty dollar coin was minted in Philadelphia and is also known as the Saint-Gaudens double eagle. Both the Obverse and Reverse were designed by sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens. The Obverse features Lady Liberty holding a torch and olive branch, with the inscription “LIBERTY” and the date “1910”. The Reverse is completed by an eagle in flight with rays of sunshine in the background, with the inscription “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA TWENTY DOLLARS” the motto “IN GOD WE TRUST” is below the eagle.
