The 1902 Halfrown is a coin struck in 0.925 silver by the Royal Mint. There is an uncrowned portrait of King Edward VII facing right with the legend around. The Reverse features a crowned quartered shield of arms within a French garter with the motto *HONI SOIT. QVI MAL. Y PENSE.*. The date is located on either side of the garter buckle at the bottom, with HALF to the left and CROWN to the right.
This 1902 Matt Proof silver halfcrown coin had a low mintage figure of only 15,123. This was the first Edwardian halfcrown to be struck.
