1902 Edward VII Matt Proof Silver Crown Coin In Extremely Fine To Near Mint Condition.

This example has sharp details with nice dark toning on both sides.

The Edward VII Crown is a collectible coin and was struck to celebrate the coronation of King Edward VII after the death of his mother, Queen Victoria, in 1901.  The coin is made of 0.925 silver.  The obverse features King Edward VII facing right.  St. George on horseback slaying a dragon, designed by Benedetto Pistrucci on the reverse.

This 1902 matt proof crown was the only Edwardian silver crown struck and had a mintage figure of 15,123.
