There are light surface marks on both sides of this coin. There are tiny edge nicks on the obverse.

The 1902 double sovereign was struck in 22 carat gold. The obverse of this coin features the uncrowned portrait of King Edward VII facing right, with legend around. The reverse depicts St. George slaying the dragon, with the date and designer’s initials in exergue.
