The 1901 Nine Piastres is a coin struck in 0.925 silver. The obverse of this coin features the crowned and veiled bust. The reverse features a crowned shield of arms which divides the dates. The crown rests on a scroll inscribed CYPRUS and the value is set out in words (NINE PIASTRES) around the lower edge of the design.
