This is the variety where the Trident is 2mm away from PENNY on the reverse.
There are light surface marks on both sides of this coin.

The 1895 penny was struck in bronze by the Royal Mint. The obverse side of the coin depicts the older diademed and veiled portrait of Queen Victoria facing left, with legend around. This portrait is often referred to as the ‘old head or ‘vailed head’. The reverse side of the coin depicts Britannia seated to the right, the denomination above, and the date in the exergue.
