This is a high grade coin with near full mint lustre. There are extremely light surface marks on both sides of this coin.

The 1895 halfpenny was struck in bronze by the Royal Mint. The obverse side of the coin depicts the older diademed and veiled portrait of Queen Victoria facing left, with legend around. This portrait is often referred to as the ‘old head or ‘vailed head’. The reverse side of the coin depicts Britannia seated to the right, the denomination around, with date in exergue, and sea behind.
