The 1890 Jubilee head Halfrown is a coin struck in 0.925 silver by the Royal Mint. This Jubilee head design was issued to celebrate the 50th anniversary, Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee. This more mature portrait of Queen Victoria on the Obverse was first seen on the silver halfcrown in 1887, the final coin with the Jubilee effigy was struck in 1892. The Reverse of this coin depicts the shield of royal arms surmounted by a large crown. A tiny St. George slaying the Dragon motif divides the date on this high grade 1890 silver halfcrown coin.
This silver halfcrown had a mintage figure of 3,228,111.
