The 1889 Jubilee head Crown is a coin struck in 0.925 silver by the Royal Mint. Initially designed to commemorate Queen Victoria’s 50th anniversary Golden Jubilee in 1887 this more mature portrait of Queen Victoria on the Obverse was seen on the silver crowns up until 1892. The Reverse of this coin depicts St. George slaying the Dragon by Benedetto Pistrucci.
