1887 Queen Victoria Silver Shilling Coin In Fair Condition.

The date and legend is readable but worn. The finer detail has been worn away and there is scratching on the reverse of this used coin. This is a good starter grade or space filler.

This Young head Shilling is a coin struck in 0.925 silver by the Royal Mint.  This coin features the fourth type of the Young head design of Queen Victoria. This was used on the Obverse of the Shilling between 1879 and 1887.  The Reverse of this coin depicts a crown, laurel and oak leaves within an open wreath, and the words “ONE / SHILLING” with the date”1887″ below.

This 1887 silver shilling coin had a mintage figure of 4,034,133.
