1885 Queen Victoria Bronze Third Farthing Coin In Near Mint Condition.

This is a nice example with good detail and a dark bronze look. There are extremely light surface marks on both sides of this coin.

The 1885 Third Farthing is a coin struck in bronze by the Royal Mint for use in Malta.  The obverse features the second laureate portrait (‘Bun Head’ or ‘Young Head’) of Queen Victoria facing left, with legend around. The reverse features a crowned denomination above date, with laurel wreath surrounding.

The coin was struck for use in Malta and was never legal tender in the UK.
