This coin is the beaded boarder variety.

This is a high grade coin with traces of the original mint lustre. There is a slight discolouration or toning patch on the obverse of this coin.

The 1860 halfpenny was struck in bronze by the Royal Mint. The obverse side of the coin depicts the young bust of Queen Victoria wearing a bodice, mantle, and circular brooch, with her hair in a bun and decorated with a wreath of leaves and berries. The reverse side of the coin depicts Britannia seated to the right, the denomination around, with date in exergue, and sea behind.
