The 1837 farthing was struck in copper by the Royal Mint. The obverse side of the coin features the uncrowned portrait of King William IV facing right, with legend around, and date below. The reverse of this coin features the seated figure of Britannia facing right, trident in left hand, shield with Union flag in right, with legend around, and national flower emblems in exergue.
