The 1834 halfpenny was struck in copper by the Royal Mint. The obverse side of the coin features the uncrowned portrait of King William IV facing right, with legend around, and date below. The reverse depicts the seated figure of Britannia, with trident in left hand and shield bearing the Union flag in right, with legend around and national flower emblems in exergue.
