The milling is incomplete on the reverse, there appears to be a tiny die flaw disrupting the milling.

This coin comes in a plastic coin envelope.

The 1824 maundy penny is a coin struck in 0.925 silver by the Royal Mint. The Obverse features the laureate bust of King George IV facing left, with legend around. The Reverse of this coin depicts a central crowned denomination above the date, within oak wreath.

Maundy money is struck in denominations of one penny, twopence, threepence, and fourpence. Until the 18th century the coins were given from the circulating coinage, and it was not until the latter half of the century that the four Maundy coins developed as distinct, noncirculating pieces. In most years there are fewer than 2,000 complete sets of Maundy money issued.
