This 1820 French gold coin was minted in Paris. The obverse features the portrait of Louis XVIII turned to the right, the hair held by a headband tied in the neck. Under this head is inscribed the name of the engraver and a horse’s head. The reverse has the shield of France crowned between two branches of olive tree, with the year below and the inscription 20 F on both sides of the blazon. The A mint mark can be found to the right of the date on the reverse.
