The 1758 sixpence was a coin struck in 0.925 silver in London by the Royal Mint. The Obverse features a left-facing laureate bust of George II wearing armour and a lion’s head on his shoulder. The Reverse is completed with four crowned shields arranged in a cross to represent the Royal arms of England and Scotland, France and Ireland, with plain angles and a centre garter star. The date is divided and appears at the top of this coin.
