1697 King William III Silver Shilling Coin In Fine Condition.
There are surface marks on both sides of this used coin.
The 1697 shilling is a 0.925 silver coin struck in London by the Royal Mint. The Obverse features a laureate or draped bust of William III facing right with the legend surrounding it. The Reverse has the crowned cruciform shields of England, Scotland, France, and Ireland forming a cross shape around the arms of Nassau at the centre. The date is divided at the top of the reverse with the legend around it.
