The 1673 maundy twopence is a coin struck in 0.925 silver. The Obverse features the laureate and draped bust of King Charles II facing right, with legend around. The reverse features a crown dividing the date above interlinked C’s, with legend around.

Maundy money is struck in denominations of one penny, twopence, threepence, and fourpence. Until the 18th century the coins were given from the circulating coinage, and it was not until the latter half of the century that the four Maundy coins developed as distinct, noncirculating pieces. In most years there are fewer than 2,000 complete sets of Maundy money issued.
