Enamelled 1696 William III Silver Crown Coin In Fine Condition.
This coin has been enamelled in six different colours on the reverse. The obverse has two dark scratched marks above and below the bust indicating the coin has had a mount removed from it at some point in time.

The 1696 Crown is a coin struck in 0.925 silver by the Royal Mint. This coin features a portrait of King William III on the Obverse. A lion of Nassau in a cartouche surrounded by nine billets, four crowned shields of royal arms arranged cruciform, and an early harp with seven strings completes the design on the Reverse. Only four different dated crown coins were ever issued during the reign of King William III.
These coins can range in weight from approx. 29.59 to 29.94 grams.
