This 2020 coin was struck by the Perth Mint in Australia. The obverse features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II facing right. The reverse is a tribute to the 1855 Sydney Sovereign, with Perth Mint replacing Sydney Mint. Elements of the original, Type I Sovereign design include the St. Edward’s crown, a laurel wreath, and the motto AUSTRALIA. The number 165 is in an oval shape to commemorate the 165th Anniversary of 1st Sovereign Minted in Australia.
