The MS Jutlandia was a ship built for the East Asiatic Company (EAC) in 1934. It was used as a passenger and cargo ship at EAC’s Nakskov Shipyard in Denmark. Also serving as a hospital ship during the Korean War, and a royal yacht for the King of Thailand on his visit to Scandinavia and also the Queen of Denmark. The MS Jutlandia was decommissioned in 1965. During its time as a hospital ship, she provided assistance to the United Nations Command and humanitarian support to the allied forces in South Korea, and she issued shipboard scrip in denominations of 25 Øre, 1 Krone and 5 Kroner.
