This Jersey banknote features the Arms at top left on the obverse. The reverse features horse and carts on a beach.
During the German Occupation, Jersey issued an emergency set of banknotes due to a shortage of British banknotes and coinage. Local artist Edmund Blampied was commissioned to design a series of notes that would be issued by the States of Jersey in denominations of sixpence, one, two and ten shillings, and one pound.
