This 2000 five pounds, five sovereigns or quintuple sovereign was struck to celebrate the Millennium by the Royal Mint.
The Obverse features the fourth crowned portrait of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, with legend around. The reverse features a representation of the British Isles with a pair of clock hands, pivoted on Greenwich and set at twelve o’clock, commemorative dates either side, with denomination below.
