This was the series A Britannia ten shillings banknote issued on the 21st November 1955, with Prefix / Serial Number C14Y 696971.
This is a nice example. There are light signs of handling and a fold.
There is no writing, repairs, pin holes or tears on this ten shillings banknote.
The B271 Ten Shillings was issued by the Bank of England in 1955. The note is brown-violet and brown on grey and pink underprint. The obverse features a seated figure of Britannia at left. The reverse shows the denomination within leaf designs.
