The 1688 Crown is a coin struck in 0.925 silver. This coin features the second bust of King James II on the Obverse. There is a crowned cruciform of shields on the reverse. It also has the regnal year Qvarto lettering on the edge. Only three different dated crown coins were ever issued during the reign of King James II.
