The 1887 Jubilee head Crown is a coin struck in 0.925 silver by the Royal Mint. This new Jubilee head design and was issued to celebrate the 50th anniversary, Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee. This more mature portrait of Queen Victoria on the Obverse was seen on the silver crowns up until 1892. The Reverse of this coin depicts St. George slaying the Dragon by Benedetto Pistrucci.
