The 1866 Third Farthing is a coin struck in bronze by the Royal Mint for use in Malta. The obverse features the second laureate portrait (‘Bun Head’ or ‘Young Head’) of Queen Victoria facing left, with legend around. The reverse features a crowned denomination above date, with laurel wreath surrounding.
The coin was struck for use in Malta and was never legal tender in the UK.
