This is a bright coin with sharp details. There are two tiny indentations on this coin, one on each side. On the reverse the mark is under the 8 in the date. On the obverse the mark is on the cheek of the portrait.

The 1879 Threepence is a coin struck in 0.925 silver by the Royal Mint. This Young head design of Queen Victoria was used on the Obverse of the threepence between 1838 and 1887. The Reverse features a crowned denomination dividing the date, all within an oak wreath.
