This Young head Shilling is a coin struck in 0.925 silver by the Royal Mint. This coin features the fourth type of the Young head design of Queen Victoria. This was used on the Obverse of the Shilling between 1879 and 1887. The Reverse of this coin depicts a crown, laurel and oak leaves within an open wreath, and the words “ONE / SHILLING” with the date”1887″ below.
